When I watch a violent movie, that is exactly what I do. Watch the movie. I do not go out on a killing spree nor do I think about it. I do realize there are people who are very impressionable and who believe they have reason to do damage and hurt people. Granted movies sometimes give them information on how to do things they may not normally know, but then again so does google. If any thing violent movies desensitize people to the violence that is occurring around the world, and right here in the U.S. I’ve seen hundreds of bombings in movies, tv, and video games. Its sad that people feel they can dupicate it and get away with it, much like on the big screen.
It’s a group of bloggers who come to share their stories, pictures, quotes, basically anything that they feel like sharing. I am going to set up a facebook page where we can all come together and create the greatest blog ever. If you have any blog ideas put them up, we can all write about the chosen topic. I also have a twitter, xxladygamerxx if you’d like to follow me there. Again I mostly tweet about video games, occassionally sell items on ebay. But what I am most interested in is connecting with people. I’m originally from Connecticut, and I live in the Los Angeles area now. I am exposed to a lot of different events, some of which I will blog about. Movie premieres, E3, XGames and so on. I have a lot to say, and I am going to say it here, and I hope that not only do you listen, you collaborate with me and add your experiences too.
I saw the movie 42 tonight and I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. I’m not a movie critic though I do watch a lot of movies. What Jackie Robinson did took a lot if courage. He changed the game of baseball forever. It only takes one man or woman to start a change and when others follow you have a movement. I recommend any baseball fan see this movie.
I’ve just begun a blog, and I’m sure as I speak so have hundreds of other folks. I’d like this blog to be a place for people to come together, share ideas about anything from gaming, to zombies, to horror films and even books. Yes I still read. And you should too. Should any of you have questions or comments please feel free to ask. Currently I’m watching a documentry of movie monsters. A nice follow up to the Days of the Dead convention I just attended this weekend in Los Angeles. That reminds me, I’m an East Coast transplant from Connecticut whos been in the LA, Hollywood area for almost 3 years now. I’m totally exploring this vast territory, I find myself at such events as movie premieres, E3, Wondercon, Ren Faire, Monsterpalooza..pretty much anything exciting…I even made it to the xgames last year. I’m having a blast out there in California and would love to share my experiences with all of you!
